Yes. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the policies of the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, the 1613 Men’s Conference permits service dogs in all areas of the venue where attendees are normally allowed.
A service animal is defined by the ADA as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Emotional support animals, therapy animals, comfort animals, and pets are not considered service animals under the ADA and are not permitted.
Service dogs must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered at all times, unless these devices interfere with the dog’s work or the handler’s disability prevents their use. In such cases, the dog must remain under the handler’s control through voice commands, signals, or other effective means. No documentation or certification is required. However, as permitted by the ADA, event or venue staff may ask whether the dog is required because of a disability and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform.
Service dogs must remain under the handler’s control, be housebroken, and not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others. If a service dog is out of control or causes a significant disruption that cannot be mitigated, staff may request that the animal be removed. The individual will be permitted to continue attending the event without the animal. No fees or surcharges are imposed for service animals. Handlers are responsible for the care, supervision, and cleanup of their service dogs, including use of designated relief areas in accordance with venue policy.

All public entrances, aisles, exhibit halls, restrooms, and session spaces used for the conference are wheelchair accessible, including ramps, elevators, and accessible restrooms throughout the venue. Attendees may remain in their own wheelchairs or mobility devices during sessions.
Advance notice is not required to access wheelchair seating; however, attendees are encouraged to contact the 1613 Men’s Conference team after purchasing a ticket, ahead of the event so we can assist and coordinate with the venue.
